Gibson have slimmed down the body depth for this Studio model, making for a more comfortable playing experience, The SJ-200 Studio Walnut's bidy is constructed using walnut for the back and sides, paired with Sitka spruce for the top. Together, these tone woods combine to deliver the SJ-200's characteristic full bodied, mellow tone.
The body is paired with a mahogany neck that features Gibson's Advanced Response neck profile, adding to the guitars playability. A walnut fretboard is home to 20 standard frets and is inlaid with graduated crown position markers.
Electrics come courtesy of an Fishmans Sonitone system, with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls. Thi system not only delivers the full-bodied acoustic sound of the guitar when plugged in, but is also very discrete so as not to disturb the Super-Jumbo's classic visual lines.
Hardware comprises a set of nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons, a set of Tusq bridge pins, a Tusq saddle, and a SJ-200 pickguard.
