The Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster Left Handed draws on 60 years of Fender tradition and innovation to deliver a guitar that meets the demands of the modern day guitar player. Replacing the American Pro model, this new Version II adds further refinements and tweaks to make a great instrument even better.
The iconic surf-inspired Jazzmaster body, with its offset waist and comfy, ergonomic curves is made, in the time-honoured Fender tradition, from Alder. This is coupled with a new modern Deep C profiled Maple neck. The neck features a 9.5" radius fretboard made from either Rosewood or Maple (depending on guitar finish) and features comfortable rolled edges and a new Super Natural finish for comfort and modern day playability The board is home to 22 narrow-tall frets and inlaid with dot position markers.
The Jazzmaster is fitted with a pair of brand new V-Mod II Jazzmaster pickups, packed with classic Fender tone with bags of punch and clarity. The pickups are wired through an updated electronics system comprising a series/ parallel slide switch, Volume and tone controls and a 3 way selector toggle switch. The tone control also features a push/ push switch to add extra flexibility to the bridge pickup by giving access to vintage or modern outputs.
The American Pro II Jazzmaster's hardware has also seen a few mods and upgrades to that of Jazzmasters that have come before. The new Panorama Tremolo system with pop-in tremolo arm dramatically increases the range of vibrato available, allowing deep, Strat-style dives, in addition to classic Jazzmaster warble, whilst keeping tuning stable.
